Rob Fisher has been involved with CYT since 2003, when his oldest daughter's best friend introduced them to the organization. All of his four children have been involved in classes and shows since that first year. Rob has served as a parent volunteer, Production Team Member, Computer Support volunteer and Board Member for CYT Spokane. His theatrical area of expertise is in audio and video production.
Born in Idaho, and growing up in Deer Park, WA, Rob came from a family of... Read More musicians. However at the age of 16, he put down the 5 instruments that his father taught him to play to take up the controls of aircraft. He earned an A.A.S degree in Aviation Maintenance from Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1982. Concurrently he earned all of his flight ratings to be a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor. In 1986, Rob graduated from Central Washington University with a B.S. in Technology.
Rob has been a professional pilot since the age of 19. He has extensive management experience as a Customer Service Manager, Chief Pilot and Company Operations Inspector for various airlines and aviation businesses. He has been a certified instructor in aviation for 29 years. With over 15,000 flight hours, Rob was forced to medically retire from Alaska Airlines as a B737 Captain in 2009 after 17 years with the airline.
He currently works part time as a Functional System Administrator and Computer Support Technician at the Fairchild AFB Education Center. The rest of the day he provides Executive and Supervisory oversight to the wonderful staff at CYT Spokane.
